VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) means the ability to make telephone calls and send faxes over IP-based data networks with a suitable quality of service and superior cost / benefit. When you make a call using VoIP, your office PBX is sending the information via VoIP device to your Intranet, all the way to the destination you are calling. It is using Internet protocol to transfer the voice instead of using the telephone lines.
